An accomplished auditor, trainer, and advisor, Eliza conducts export/import audits, risk assessments, training, compliance program design and implementation, identifies areas of opportunity, and develops corrective actions for her clients.
Eliza’s vast US import skills include Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, entry audits, record-keeping, anti-dumping and countervailing duties (ADD/CVD) determination, valuation, assists, free trade agreements qualifications, section 301 applicability, prior disclosures, and Customs audit preparations.
Additionally, Eliza holds an extensive knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Other Government Agency (OGA) with hands on experience on risk assessments and audits, product classifications, denied party screenings, deemed exports, export license determination and application, export fillings, training, and developing robust export compliance programs for her clients. Born in Brazil, she also advises clients on issues related to Brazilian imports/exports.
Eliza is a Summa Cum Laude graduate holding a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Strayer University. She is also fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese and holds dual citizenship from the United States and Brazil.
